| In this article, firstly, a comprehensive and detailed model for planning the verification, validation and testing processes of complex engineering systems designed in design offices, which is briefly indicated by the symbol "VVT", is presented. This model is widely used for C4ISR systems, which are usually complex systems that include a large number of command, control, telecommunication, computer, intelligence, surveillance, and reconassance systems. The model presented is in a way that guarantees that a verification procedure is defined for each defined technical requirement and a validation procedure is defined for each need or expectation of each customer and main stakeholders. At the end, as a case study, a summary of the results of the VVT planning procedures for a type of international maritime security and rescue system GMDSS is presented as a part of the necessary telecommunication systems of the command and control system of a type of surface vessel. From a theoretical point of view, it has been tried that the proposed model includes the requirements of verification and validation processes in international and national standards, as well as important references in the field of system engineering. From a practical point of view, the presentation of a proposed model is based on the practical experience of planning the verification and validation procedures of diversity and a large number of supersystems and complex electrical, electronic, computer, telecommunication, mechanical, and electromechanical systems. Therefore, this model can be used for the planning of a wide range of engineering systems in design offices. |
